I’ve noticed going through my photos I take a lot of photos of clouds. I think there’s something so beautiful and ephemeral about them. When I’m out on my bike or walking, I often find myself staring up at cloud structures—they can be so pretty.
I was skimming through a book my grandparents had on cloudwatching once, and read that on the West side of Cape York in Australia, there’s a cloud unique in all the world—a rolling wave cloud formed by the particular air currents, climate, and geography of the area. And there are pilots and cloud enthusiasts who glide above it; maybe some time I’ll have to make the trek out there to see it. In the meantime, there are plenty of structures to admire from below everywhere I go.
